Abstract EN

The study deals with an evaluation of the curricula and methods of teaching educational geography in Iraq by conducting a comprehensive survey and inventory of the approved curricula taught from the stage of basic education through to the stage of postgraduate studies to know the extent of the influence of the Iraqi geography with the modern trends witnessed by science to achieve the goal of the study through the adoption of the method of scientific research To provide a logical evaluation of the curricula adopted in the contemporary period.

The main problem with the curriculum is that the academic identity of geography is lost, because geography seems to be concerned with complex and independent subjects from each other extending from astronomy to destruction without linking these topics in a way that can be easily distributed to all other scientific fields, that geography uses natural and human information but aims to Treating the woven relationships between human groups in their dealings with their surroundings and in their dealings with each other.

The aim of the study came to evaluate the curricula and methods of teaching geography for the academic stages from the elementary stage of education through to the postgraduate stage in Arab universities.
