What really matters in translation is not only faithfulness to the source text, but also the ability to use techniques that add an aesthetic effect to translation.

Arabic, like many other languages, puts at the translator’s disposal a number of techniques enabling him to produce a target text that has the same aesthetic effect as the source text.

Among these techniques we can cite collocations, idioms, Quranic style, and many others that transform words from mere transmitters of thoughts to triggers of emotions.
