Translation is a communication tool between languages and cultures in different communities around the world.

It touches all fields of human activity including religion, politics, literature and other fields as well as scientific and technical domains.

The act of expressing scientific concepts and content in a text is usually challenging and serious as it requires accuracy, knowledge and understanding of the ideas behind specialized discourse, thus, Difficulties arise from the fact that language of science and technology has its own characteristics and terminology as it is the case in automobile industry.

This paper intends to approach the translability of automobile spare parts industry into Arabic taking into account that the field of spare parts is a new invention that ancient Arabic didn't know and that some of its words were coined in the English speaking world.

Key words: Automobile industry, specialized translation, terminology, genuine parts, Cadillac.
