Abstract EN

The study aimed to investigate the effect of cooperative learning strategy in the development of third level secondary students’ creative abilities and academic achievement at Najran City in Fiqh textbook.

To achieve the aim of the study, the quasiexperimental approach was used.

The experimental group Consisting of (39) students, was taught two units of Al-Fiqh textbook by the use of cooperative learning strategy whereas the control group consisting of (35) students, was taught the same two units With the traditional method.

Torrance Figural (B) Test was adapted to the Saudi environment in addition to an achievement test prepared by the researcher, were used after they were verified for validity and reliability.

The study concluded the following results.

In short, the study revealed that the performance of students in the experimental group regarding the creative abilities and academic achievement was higher than their peers' performance in the control group.

Findings also emphasized the effectiveness of cooperative learning strategy in teaching Al Fiqh textbook to students in the third secondary class .

In light of these findings, the study asserted the need to use cooperative learning strategy in teaching Al Fiqh textbook to students in the third secondary class to develop their creative abilities and academic achievement.

It also proposed conducting similar studies in other Islamic Education textbooks at all educational stages via the use of different strategies to identify its impact on the students'development
