Abstract EN
This study aimed to identify the extent of the contribution of training programs in acquiring mathematics teacher's competencies required in teaching new developed curricula and to what extent the teacher had utilize it in the classroom.
In addition, the study attempt to show the extent of the existence of a correlation between the competencies' acquisition required in teaching developed curricula during training, and the degree of utilization during the teaching, and whether there are statistical differences in addressing at training and utilizing at teaching due to gender.
In order to achieve this goal, a questionnaire was distributed to the study sample from Najran area's mathematics teachers (male and female) and the results indicated that the degree of contribution of training programs in acquiring mathematics teacher's competencies required in teaching new developed curricula was a medium, as well as the degree of utilization while teaching was medium too.
Finally, the study found that there is a positive correlation between the degree of addressing the competencies during training programs and the degree of utilization during the teaching at all areas of the study's axis and the instrument as a whole.
Moreover, there exist a statistical differences in the degree of addressing the competencies during training programs in terms of gender in favor of females, while did not show any differences in the degree of utilization of those competencies in teaching in terms of gender.
