Abstract EN

Quranic discourse has taken a great importance in both ancient and recent arabic studies, and we have to understand well what this discourse wants to say exactly but to recognize its meanings, we need some mechanisms which are necessary for every researcher so as not to fly his thinking from the right recognition.

Among these mechanisms, there is deixis which is the theme of our research, and we have chosen in the practical part the quranic narrative discourse; the story of Joseph peace be upon him, because this story includes many of those mechanisms.

We have dedicated this study on two scenes: « Joseph's dream and the brothers' wiliness » through counting the deixis on them and clarifying its function inside the context of the story.
