This research attempts to deal with one of the most important issues of teaching Arabic language to non-native speakers which is the teacher.

this last is considered as one of the most influential elements in the teaching process in addition to the learner, and the educational material.

the research aims to show the effective role of the teacher in the learning and teaching process.

it also tries to set the characteristics of a skillful teacher and the strategies which make him an effective teacher able to improve his learners’ level, and help them master the four skills of Arabic, listening, speaking, reading and writing according to the international standard of learning a second language.
