This study aims to shed light on the criteria for quality assurance and academic accreditation in higher education, and to demonstrate the importance of academic accreditation in university institutions, as it is the most important means and methods used to improve the quality of education and raise the level of its performance, and quality is no longer a luxury that universities aspire, or an alternative to take or leave Educational systems have even become an urgent necessity dictated by the intense competition movement between contemporary higher education systems, and we conclude through this study that attention to quality assurance and academic accreditation contributes to the development of higher education institutions in it and gains them competitive advantages.
