Gold nanoparticles (GNPs) have been synthesized via reduction of sodium tetrachloroaurate dihydrate (NaAuCl4.2H2O) in presence of Metronidazole Benzoate (MTZ.
B) (1-(2-benzyloxy ethyl)-5-nitro methyl imidazole) drug in presence of ascorbic acid as a reducing and stabilizing agents by chemical method.
The resulting Au NPs were characterized by UV–Vis spectroscopy, atomic force microscopy (AFM), and X-ray diffraction (XRD).
