Abstract EN

The current study aimed to identify the spirit of humor and its relation to the social interaction of the gifted students in Asir governorate according to the variable of the class.

To achieve the objectives of the current study, the descriptive descriptive approach was followed.

The sample of the study consisted of all gifted students in the secondary stage in the governorate of Mu'aiel Asir, number (70) students.

The researcher prepared a measure of humor and social interaction to answer the study questions.

The results indicated that the gifted students' humor was the balanced pattern with an average of 3.08.

The level of social interaction skills among gifted students was generally high with an average of 3.84.

After "cooperation with others", the score of the social interaction skills in the first rank was 3.96 and higher, followed by "turnout" With an average of 3.90 and a high score, followed by "contact" in the third order with an average of 3.75 and a high score, while "attention to others" came in the last order with an average of 3.73 and a high score.

The results also showed that there were no statistically significant differences in the level of humor and social interaction among gifted students due to the grade (first secondary, second secondary, third secondary).

The results showed that there was a positive and statistically significant correlation between the level of humor and the social interaction dimensions of gifted students.

The correlation coefficients between the level of humor and the dimensions of social interaction among gifted students (.915 –.473) were high and statistically significant.

In the light of the results, the study recommends that the spirit of humor of the gifted should be taken into consideration because of their positive effects on their social interaction.
