Abstract EN

The study aimed at improving Al-Azhar University academic leaders' practice for the dimensions of entrepreneurial leadership, which included (strategic vision, initiation, creativity, risk taking).

The study adopted the descriptive approach, utilizing the questionnaire as a study tool for identifying the reality of Al-Azhar University academic leaders' practice for the dimensions of entrepreneurial leadership.

The study indicated several findings, the most important of which are; the total degree of Al-Azhar University academic Leaders' practice for the dimensions of entrepreneurial leadership was low with a relative weight of (1.64).

Also, some findings indicated that improving entrepreneurial leadership practices should be achieved through two parallel tracks; The first: It concerns the role of the leader as an initiative of entrepreneurship, in which the role that concentrate on discovering and exploiting opportunities is modeled.

The second: It concerns the role of the leader as an accelerator of entrepreneurship: in which the role that depends upon motivating employees to direct their concentration for exploiting opportunities is modeled.

The study recommended the necessity of spreading entrepreneurship culture all over university environment, selecting entrepreneurial university leadership, establishing a unit for forecasting the future at each faculty, training courses and workshops for improving university academic leaders' practices of entrepreneurial leadership dimensions.
