Abstract EN

The current research sought to identify the essence and characteristics of hybrid education, as well as to pinpoint the reasons behind the application of hybrid education in public secondary schools in the light of Corona pandemic (COVID-19) and the contemporary variables requiring that.

The descriptive method was used by the two researchers due to its relevance to the nature of the study.

In view of the theoretical framework reviewed and the results of the previous studies, the paper concluded that the educational reality in Egypt indicates that e-learning was not well established due to the prevalence of traditional education and the limited use of technology and its tools.

Thus in view of the repercussions of the emerging Corona pandemic crisis (COVID-19) that led to the closure of schools and universities, the increase in dropout rates, and the increase in education losses, hybrid education has become the best educational solution to confront the COVID-19 pandemic, since it allows students to participate in educational activities through digital platforms simultaneously with the education within school.

This approach is useful in confronting the increase in student density, and increases learning opportunities away from the limits of time and place of traditional education.

In the light of these results, the study presented a proposed perspective for the application of hybrid education in public secondary schools in Egypt in the circumstances of the new Corona pandemic (COVID-19) in view of benefiting from the experiences of some developed countries such as the United States of America, the United Kingdom, China, and Germany in this respect.
