The current study aims to develop Tourism and Hotels Secondary Stage Students' EFL productive skills (speaking and writing skills) via using service-learning approach.
Thirty students enrolled in the first year, in Al-Horeya Secondary School for Tourism Services and Hotels Affairs, were the participants of this research.
The researcher designed the EFL productive skills Test (a speaking test and a writing test) to be used as a pre-posttest, and a scoring rubric.
Two intact classes were nominated at random from the first year of secondary school students and assigned to an experimental group and a control group, 30 students in each group.
The experimental group were taught using the service-learning approach whereas the control group received the regular instruction.
Pre- and post- performance tests of speaking and writing skills were constructed and administered by the researcher.
The data obtained were statistically analyzed.
Findings revealed that using service-learning approach was effective in developing Tourism and Hotels Secondary Stage Students' EFL productive skills (overall speaking and writing skills as well as their sub-skills(.
