Abstract EN

This study was carried out to explore the effectiveness of using the process writing approach with Ning on developing writing performance among third level students at Languages and Translation Department, Arar College of Education and Arts, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Forty students were in each of the experimental and control groups.

These two groups were pre-tested by the Writing Performance Test (WPT) for equivalence in writing performance before the treatment.

The experimental group received training by using the process writing approach with Ning to develop writing performance.

The experimental and control groups were post-tested by the WPT.

The t-test was used to calculate the differences between the mean scores of the pre- and post-WPT.

The results revealed that the experimental group outperformed the control group on the post-WPT because the difference in the mean scores of the two groups on this test was statistically significant in favor of the experimental group.

The results also showed that the experimental group performed better on the post-WPT than the pre- WPT because the difference in the mean scores of these two tests was statistically significant in favor of the post-WPT.

These results highlighted the effectiveness of using the process writing approach with Ning in developing writing performance among Languages and Translation Department students.
