Abstract EN

The study aimed to research the role of the internet in developing scientific research and the reasons that encourage its use, and to achieve the goals of the study, the analytical descriptive approach was relied upon, as the study sample consisted of (48) male and female students, they were chosen according a random method, and the study tool consisted of a questionnaire submitted to PhD students by resarcher Waad Shaukat Muhammad (2014), and the statistical processing of the data was done by relying on the Statistical Packages Program (SPSS) version (25) using percentages, means and standard deviations.

The most important results of the study found that there were no statistically significant differences between the averages of the responses of graduate students related to the questionnaire axes due to the gender variable, and the presence of statistically significant differences between the averages of students' answers related to the first axe « The role of the internet in the development of scientific research », unlike the second and third axes « Reasons encouraging the use of the internet in scientific research, obstacles to using the internet in scientific research » respectively, due to the college variable.
