Abstract EN

The times of the epidemic cause new forms of contemporary issues and emerging issues that were not addressed by previous Islamic jurists in detail, so the contemporary religious opinion (fatwas) people meet to study such issues and the researchers face and write about such issues, especially if the contemporary issues are related to a great thing that the public needs as prayer.

Therefore, this research was an attempt to clarify Jurisprudential contemporary issues of prayers during epidemics, and address confusion thereof.

This study discussed the contemporary issues of call to prayer, prayer and invocation (Qunoot) to end this epidemic, and the contemporary issues of Friday Prayers, Collective Prayers and Funerals during epidemics.

The approach used in this study is a combination of descriptive approach through identifying and describing scientific issues as they are, and the indicative approach, by mentioning Islamic Lawful evidence, and replacing branches to fundamentals and the suspicions to the facts.

This study concluded significant findings, the most important of which are: that the Novel Coronavirus is a frightenable disease, and that the presence of this virus in the country is not a general excuse for joining two prayers, unless the disease has spread to the extent that brings hardship to the general public.

The competent authorities are allowed to gather Friday prayers to enhance preventive and precautionary measures against this epidemic, and it is obliged to wash the dead person with this virus without touching the body directly.

The study ended with recommendations, the most important of which are: Islamic Law (Shariah) universities publish a special issue every year in their refereed journal of the fundamental and in-depth studies in Islamic Jurisprudential rulings arising during Epidemics, in order for them to become scientific references, so that the world learns from their writings and the learner benefits from their branches.
