Abstract EN
The study aimed to identify the level of superstitious thinking and its relation to the concept of academic self among a sample of secondary students in Baghdad.
To achieve the objectives of the study, the researcher adopted the descriptive, analytical method through preparing a scale for measuring the superstitious thinking and the concept of academic self.
After verifying the reliability of the two scales, the researcher distributed them to a sample of (513) male and female students.
After conducting the statistical analysis, it was evident that the level of superstitious thinking among secondary school students in Baghdad was low, the level of the academic self concept among the secondary school students in Baghdad was high, and there was a statistically significant inverse correlation at sig.
(α≤ 0.05) between the superstitious thinking and the concept of academic self among secondary school students in Baghdad
