Abstract EN

The popular patrimony is an important element of the cultural identity of every society, and its employment in the literary text is a way of preserving and immortalizing it by the Algerian writers who wrote in Arabic.

And since literature is the record of peoples, it moves between them through translation so they can share their culture and civilization.

Hence, the problem of transferring patrimony aspects in the Algerian novel written in Arabic to French In this article emerges ; we tried to explore some of the most important patrimony aspects contained in the novel of al-Jazia and al-Darawish by Abdel Hamid Ben Hadouga and its translation into French by Marcel Bois.
