The research includes studying the reality of the secondary education stage in the district of Al-Musayyib - Babil Governorate, which includes intermediate, intermediate and secondary schools to demonstrate their efficiency and adequacy by relying on educational standards approved by the Ministry of Education.

The research was based on the available official data and a questionnaire form distributed to schools managers and a sample of students from the schools covered by the research.

When applying the educational standards, it was found that some administrative units suffer from a deficit and others are surplus, while the general average for the student / school criterion is (641 students / school), which is higher than the official standard, and the general average for the standard is student / teacher (30 students / teacher).

It is higher than the official standard, and the general average was a student / division for secondary schools (intermediate + intermediate) (46 students / division), which is higher than the official standard, and it was found that there is an imbalance in the spatial distribution of secondary education institutions between the administrative units of the judiciary, and between its presence and its countryside This requires a review of this reality and proper planning for a properly calculated future phase, by linking the number of students with secondary education institutions.
