This research aims to identify the impact of the information processing strategy on the acquisition of the Arab-Islamic history of second-grade students by verifying the following null hypothesis: There was no statistically significant difference between the average score of students in the experimental group studying Islamic Arab history using the information processing strategy and the average score of students of the control group studying the same subject using the traditional method.

Research Limits: This search is limited to: 1.

Second-grade students in intermediate schools in Babil governorate for the academic year 2012-2013.

Topics from the book of Arab Islamic history for the second grade intermediate (I 24 of 2011) to be taught for the academic year 2012-2013.

Research Methodology: The researcher followed the experimental method to learn about the effect of the strategy of processing information in the collection of Arabic Islamic history among middle secondary students because it is the appropriate method for the nature of the research and its purpose, as well as one of the methods used in educational and psychological research.

Research Tool: The research tool consists of an achievement test prepared by the researcher consisting of (25) items of a multiple choice type which its validity and stability were verified.

Statistical Methods: The researcher used a number of statistical methods, including the Kai square, Pearson correlation coefficient, T-test for two independent samples and others.

Research Results: By processing the data, the results showed that the experimental group was superior to the control group in the collection.

Recommendations and proposals: In the light of the research results, the researchers recommend the following: 1 - interest in the use of modern teaching strategies, including strategies for information processing in the teaching of Islamic history.

The researcher also proposed several proposals for similar studies on other subjects.
