Abstract EN

The research aims to shed light on the reality of innovated Sufism in its various ways, the causes of its spread and its bad effects on the society of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Sufism is widespread in the societies of the Balkan countries, especially Bosnia and Herzegovina.

It is considered the official religiosity of many public and official bodies in those countries.

Several factors has been integral in Sufism spread in Bosnia and Herzegovina, primarily, ignorance with Arabic language and lack of knowledge of the origins of Shari'a, and the (Ottoman Empire)that Islam entered these countries through it, these aspects encouraged Sufism spread, especially at the end of its era, in addition to colonialism and Orientalism who encouraged those societies to adopt Engaging in the Sufi orders and sleeked to spread it among the people by various means.

Sufi orders are spread in many names in the societies of Bosnia and Herzegovina and it is difficult to enumerate them, but the most prominent and most adherent of these methods are: Qadiriya, Maulawi, Rifa’i, Khulutiyya and Naqshbandi.

Sufism has bad effects on those societies, in the forefront of which are; Corruption of the correct belief, spreading heresies and offending many of the noble Islamic concepts with removal of the Ummah's desire to aspire to its former glories.
