Abstract EN

This study carefully examines the social studies and history curricula of pri- vate schools in the Arabian Gulf states, with a special focus on the United Arab Emirates, and analyzes how Arabs and the Arab-lsraeli conflict are depicted in these curricula.

In addition to gathering relevant data and analy- ses, the investigation attempts to to identify the factors that help determine how these curricula are developed, supported, and promoted.

It is hoped that this kind of study will assist educators in general and curriculum planners in particular with the structuring and implementation of new curricula.
