The Iraqi college students learning the English phonemic transcription

It is an intricate task to clarify how English phonemic transcription is deepened in phonetics; Iraqi 12 second-year college students/ College of Languages/University of Baghdad have had phobic phases when asked to transcribe the sounds of English (this is their syllabus).

Such a subject is correlated with physiology (i.

e.

airstream mechanism), as well as the aesthetic skills in forming these sounds (the handwriting procedure.

This paper is meant to come across the students' learning of English phonemic transcription of (phonemes) within physiological phases and aesthetic handwriting process.

In other words, it is to achieve fluency, eloquence and accuracy in those learners.

The model of analysis is based on Roach (2010) & O'Connor's (2003) which are the students' syllabuses of first & second years.
