Abstract EN

The Arabic language has a distinguished place in our educational system, as it is the official national language and the language of instruction for all educational subjects in the three stages of education in the Algerian school, so it is an occasional competence.

Therefore, controlling it is the key to establishing resources and developing competencies that enable the learner to structure his thoughts, form his personality, and communicate with it verbally and in writing in various situations of daily life.

In accordance with this goal, the school has endeavored the Algerian educational system, and within the framework of a series of successive reforms, to gradually amend and reform the educational curricula according to the educational stages.

By adopting modern curricula, which were called second-generation curricula instead of the curricula that were adopted at the beginning of the 2003/2004 reforms, where these curricula began to be applied from school entry 2016/2017, where all the Arabic language activities were included, among which the reading activity is the target in this study.
