Abstract EN

This research aims to identify (General Secondary Educationin the Knowledge Society), through a presentation of the concept of secondary education in the knowledge society in terms of its importance and objectives, the role ofsecondary education in the knowledge society, the philosophy of secondary education, and the teacher's roles in secondary education in the knowledge society, in terms of producing knowledge, employing and dissemination of Knowledge.

The research used the descriptive approach, which is based on accurate monitoring and follow-up of a specific phenomenon or event in a specific period of time.

The research pointed out that with the emergence of modern technologies and their employment in the educational process, it was necessary to prepare individuals who could interact with the data of the knowledge age and its changes, so the teacher, who is considered one of the important engines in the educational process, became a positive guide for his students to deal with modern technology variables and an effective observer of the educational process through these new technologies, it is also imperative to activate the role of general secondary education in Egypt in a way that keeps up with the most important global developments and educational improvement in the educational process, in terms of education curricula, the learner, the teacher, the educational environment,and the evaluation ,and taking advantage of economic, knowledge and technological transformations and employing them to bring fundamental reforms in the structure of the educational system so that it can be able to keep pace with knowledge and technology developments.
