The Conflict between Linguistic Performance and Grammar Rules in šurūḥ-il-alfiyyah The section of ا “Subject Case” as a sam This research, titled: The Conflict between Linguistic Performance and Grammar Rules in šurūḥ-il- >alfiyyah seeks to investigate the conflict in the Arabic grammar lesson.
This conflict is defined by the researcher as a clash between two parties: the linguistic performance violating grammar rules constitutes the first party, while unanimous grammar rules represent the second party.
Each party seeks to prove itself and eliminate the other party.
A major purpose of this research is to explore the reasons for this conflict, which were obtained from grammarians and linguists views at time when their efforts were aimed at establishing the basics of linguistic performance.
These reasons include the nature of induction, grammarians’ diverse approaches to dealing with the regular and irregular, grammarian’s mixing up linguistic levels, their view of language in terms of stability and development, and their respect for grammatical rules.
The research came to the conclusion that the conflict between linguistic performance and grammatical rules has led to many interpretations in using linguistic performance that violates grammar rules, in addition to directing criticism at the Arabic grammar.
In this research, the section of “Subject case” was used as a sample addressing some of the issues in šurūḥ-il->alfiyyah concerning this conflict.
