Abstract EN

This study aimed at revealing the role of national and civic education teachers in promoting the values of digital citizenship in their students from the point of view of teachers.

The study population consisted of 197 teachers in Wadi assir, (56%).

The study sample reached (110) male and female teachers.

A questionnaire was distributed, consisting of (30) items divided into three areas: social, moral and technological.

The results showed that the role of teachers of national and civic education in promoting the values of digital citizenship in their students from the point of view of teachers was medium on the tool as a whole.

The social domain ranked first with a high degree, the moral domain ranked second with medium degree .

The results also indicated that there were no significant differences in the role of national and civic education teachers in promoting the values of digital citizenship in their students from the point of view of teachers according to sex, educational service and Internet usage.

The study recommended that the teachers of national and civic education be subjected to training courses in promoting the values of digital citizenship among students, and to raise the issues of digital citizenship and its applications within the school curricula to instill values among pre-university teachers and students.
