This study aims at knowing the leading educational indicators in the leadership behavior of the Calipha Omar ibn al-Khattab - may Allah bless him.

To achieve this aim, the researcher conducted an analytical study of the leadership behavior in the life of the Calipha Omar ibn al-Khattab and his personality traits and characteristics, which were the most illustrious images demonstrating the magnificence of morality and attributes that humanity has known .In addition to the Calipha’s principles and the educational administrative principles on which his run was based, the researcher dealt with Omar ibn al-Khattab’s life and its personal characteristics which had a great impact on the managerial leadership approach which he followed in his leadership and from that educational leadership several concepts emerged such as shura, strength, courage, wisdom, science, justice, The researcher came to the most important indicators of educational leadership that emerged in the leadership behavior of the Caliph Omar ibn al-Khattab, and contributed to the construction of the Islamic state, and that reached the peak of Islamic civilization with his creative leadership.

The main indicators reached by the researcher are -:Qualities and characteristics indicators which Omar bin Al-Khattab had - .Philosophies and principles of leadership and management indicators practiced by Omar bin al-Khattab -Administrative organization indicators, which were establised by the Caliph Omar ibn al-Khattab during his run.

The study recommended benefiting from these leadership indicators in setting criteria for selecting leaders and in building leadership systems for educational organizations and institutions.

In addition, to benefiting from them in the evaluation and measurement process of performance in administrative and educational institutions.
