Abstract EN

The study aimed to assess the level of administrative empowerment of women academic leaders in Taibah University, and the extent of the contribution of the empowerment dimensions into the development of these leaders.

In addition to support, the university efforts in improving its policies to develop its women academic leaders, and determining the obstacles of empowering them.

The researcher used the analytical descriptive approach.

The study population consisted of women academic leaders on different levels.

A comprehensive survey method used.

The study results showed a high degree of compatibility between teams, motivation and communication dimensions compared to both training and delegation of authority, with varying level of compatibility on the sub-items of the key dimensions of empowerment, which requires the establishment of a common concept of empowerment among these leaders.

The study also, showed that, the University efforts are towards achieving the administrative empowerment.

Furthermore, there were no statistically significant differences in the study sample, according to the variables of job title, job grade, and degree.

Which indicates that, empowerment is of great importance to these leaders in all categories regardless of job title, job grade, and degree.
