Abstract EN

This study aims at exploring to what extent does Islamic finance contribute to infrastructure enterprises as one source of its funding, setting KSA as a case study.

The descriptive – analytical method has been applied since it fits most the nature of this study either in tackling its theoretical aspect or in analyzing the data and statistics of funding infrastructure projects in KSA.

The study has unveiled that infrastructure is considered as one of the most crucial strengthening constituents of economic life.

It has revealed also that Islamic banking is an important source and a suitable system for financing infrastructure enterprises.

The research has disclosed as well that the Saudi experiment in this regard is ceaselessly effective and boundlessly fruitful.

The study has recommended that all nations, most particularly under-developing countries should benefit from the experiments of other countries and seek to activate Islamic finance as a substitute for funding infrastructure projects.

KSA should also work on rendering facilitations to Islamic finance sectors to guarantee more contribution on their part towards financing infrastructure projects constantly.

KSA should also work on augmenting subsidy and support for better development of national Islamic capital (SUKUK) market as well as developing the social sector (WAQF) so that it could participate more in funding infrastructure enterprises.
