Abstract EN

The study aimed to identify the degree of educational counselors' use of extension techniques in schools in the southern governorates of Palestine in the light of behavioral cognitive direction.

descriptive analytical approach was used .

130 counselors and guides in schools and extension units were sampled.

a questionnaire was used, the most important results the degree of use of extension techniques in schools and extension units reached 81.9% with an estimate degree often, and there were no statistically significant differences between the responses of the members of the study sample to the degree of use of extension techniques due to gender variations and educational qualifications and Study stage ,and the presence of differences according to the variable number of years of service, for the benefit of the mentors whose service period was from 5 to 10 years, and differences in the current work variable for the benefit of the mentors who are currently working in the extension units, and the study recommended the necessity of adding a second educational advisor for schools that have a large number of students It recommended developing the capabilities of educational counselors and training them to use the techniques of cognitive behavioral guidance in schools.
