Abstract EN

The study aimed at identifying the degree to which secondary school principals in the State of Kuwait practice administrative transparency from the viewpoint of teachers and educational supervisors.The researcher followed the descriptive methodology to its relevance to the nature and objectives of the study.

The sample of the study consisted of (632) subjects, of these, (378) male and female teachers and (254) male and female educational supervisors, in the second semester of the school year (2007/2008).

The study found that the degree of secondary school principals in the State of Kuwait exercising administrative transparency was medium from the point of view of teachers and educational supervisors.

There were significant differences for the study sample estimates in the fields of practicing administrative transparency attributed to sex variable, in favor of males, and therer were no significant differences for the study sample estimates attributed to academic qualification.

In light of the results of the study, the researchers recommended that necessity of secondary school principals achieving administrative transparency more than they are currently in their administrative operations, and promoting practices that are conductive to their achievement, so that institutions can benefit from the positive effects of them and providing guidelines for applying administrative transparency
