Abstract EN

The Covid-19 educational crisis deeply affected almost 90% of the world’s students population.

this situation might continue in the foreseeable future.

this article identifies the main ways in which students and teachers were negatively affected by this unexpected life-threatening situation and how online education was used to allow schools to continue their education process remotely.

while considering the limitations and advantages of online education during covid-19 crisis, the paper exposes the groups of students who are likely to be more affected by this extended crisis and finally reflects on what schools and universities should do to transform this crisis into an opportunity.
