Abstract EN

Language teaching is based on controlling four basic competencies, which are audio comprehension, oral expression, reading and written expression.

The 2016 rewritten Arabic language programs were made on this basis.

Hence, Teaching languages in general and the Arabic language in particular are based on the following four fields: oral expression comprehension, oral expression, written comprehension, and written expression.

The field of oral expression comprehension is considered as a new element in the Algerian programs, as it is based on an audible text followed by a discussion with the learners.

Our study aims basically at examining how to teach the oral expression comprehension in the fourth year of elementary education based on what was mentioned in the educational support, specifically in the Arabic language program rewritten in 2016, focusing on evaluating the questions accompanying the audio texts in the textbook, aiming at investigating the importance of the contribution of these questions in achieving the learner's comprehension competence on one hand and how it expresses the final competence mentioned in the program on the other hand.
