This study aims to reveal the relationship between both Intrinsic Motivation and the outstanding performance of administrative workers in Palestinian universities.

To achieve the objectives of the study ،a descriptive analytical approach was used.

The study population consisted of (318) male and female employees from the administrators in the two universities (Islamic University ،Al-Aqsa University) ،and the questionnaire was applied to the study sample ،which amounted to (232) male and female employees ،Where the study sample was chosen in a stratified random manner.

The data were analyzed using appropriate descriptive and nonparametric inferential tests.

The results of the study showed that the degree of employees' feeling of self-motivation came at a very high rate and a relative weight (84.19%).

The results also showed that the degree of their outstanding performance also came at a very high rate with a relative weight of (83.6).

The results of the study showed that there is a strong direct relationship with statistical significance between self-motivation and its three fields (self-feeling - feeling of ownership - organizational values) and the distinguished performance of the administrative staff at the Islamic University and Al-Aqsa University.

In light of the results reached ،the researcher recommended the necessity of working to deepen and increase awareness of the concept of outstanding performance among administrative workers as well as administrative leaders in academic universities ،and the need for Palestinian universities to show great importance in treating work problems.
