Abstract EN

The study aimed to reveal the effect of the interaction between the two models (McCarthy-Zahorik) In Teaching Science and Life and the level of intelligence In the Developing Higher Order Thinking Skills among Students in the Sixth Grade in Gaza.

The researchers used the quasi-experimental method, on a sample consisting of (82) students from the sixth grade primary school students at Hamama School (B) for girls, in the first group (41) students and (41) students in the second group, The study tools are the high-order thinking skills test and the illustrated IQ test for Ahmed Salah.

The results revealed Lack of differences between the averages of performance in the high-level thinking skills test at the level of significance (   0.05 ) Returns to the teaching model.

And There are differences between the averages of performance in the thinking test.

at the level of significance (   0.05 ) due to the level of intelligence, and the size of the effect results from the differences (0.213).

And there were differences in the averages of performance in the test of high-ranking thinking skills, at the level of significance (   0.05 ) due to the interaction between the two teaching model and the level of intelligence, And the resulting effect size is equal to (0.158).

Researchers recommend in light of the results attention to the learners' different preparations and individual differences between them and working to treat them by searching for the teaching models that suit each category separately, by studying the interaction between the models and the preparations.
