Abstract EN

This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of using drama as a teaching approach from the perspective of female students of early primary education at the College of Education, Hail University, Beqaa branch.

The significance of this study stems from the important part drama plays in education, especially as an important component of modern teaching approaches that places the student at the centre of the education process and seeks primarily to produce well-rounded and well-adjusted individuals.

The researcher adopted a descriptive analytical approach that is most suited for the nature and objectives of this study.

In addition, the target research population includes 100 third year students of early childhood education, divided equally between two classes, who study drama and theatre in the Baqaa branch.

These students had to respond to an especially designed questionnaire for the purpose of this study.

Data obtained shows that drama is an effective approach in the teaching of all areas under study (mean=3.77).

The highest effect was in the knowledge field (mean=3.90) and lowest was in the language development field (mean=3.56).
