Abstract EN

This study aimed to reveal the level of self-acceptance and its relationship to the sense of quality of life among battered women in Zarqa Governorate.

The study used the descriptive approach.

The study sample consisted of (65) battered women.

To achieve the aim of the study, a measure of self-acceptance of battered women was developed, and it consisted of (21) items.

The sense of quality of life measure consists of (36) items and includes four dimensions: goal in life, independence, environmental empowerment and personal growth.

The results of the study showed that the level of self-acceptance and a sense of quality of life among the battered women was weak.

The results also showed that there were no statistically significant differences in the level of self-acceptance and the sense of quality of life among the battered women due to the age and educational qualifications variables.

The results also indicated a positive relationship between the level of self-acceptance and the sense of quality of life among battered women.

In the light of the study results, the researchers recommend the necessity of preparing counseling and psychological programs concerned with developing the positive aspects of battered women to help them overcome the low self-acceptance and the sense of quality of life resulting from violencealso indicated a positive relationship between the level of selfacceptance and the sense of quality of life among battered women.
