The study aimed to know the level of self-control as a whole, And knowing the level of its three dimensions (self-monitoring, self-evaluation, and self-reinforcement) among a sample of students of the Department of Psychology, As well as knowing the differences in the level of self-control in light of some variables, The number of the sample members reached (110) male and female students, To achieve the objectives of the study, the descriptive and analytical approach was followed, The researcher relied on self-control scale, So that he designed it based on the theoretical literature related to the study variable, It consists of (30) phrases, Distributed to its three axes (self-monitoring, self-evaluation, and self-reinforcement), The statistical program (spss19) was used in the statistical treatment, where statistical methods were used, including: arithmetic averages, standard deviations, the t.

test test for two independent samples, the ANOVA, Alpha Cronbach, And after statistical analysis of the data using the program (spss) version 19, the study concluded that: -The level of self-control among students of the Department of Psychology is average.

-The level of self-monitoring of students of the Department of Psychology is average.

-The level of self-evaluation of students of the Department of Psychology is average.

-The level of self-reinforcement among students of the Department of Psychology is average.

- There are no statistically significant differences in self-control among students of the Department of Psychology due to the gender variable.
