This study aims at revealing a stylistic linguistic phenomenon known as “deviation of verbal collocations” in the poetry collection “Asatir Al-Awalin” by Iraqi poet “Mohamed Hussein Al Yacine” with which we mean the unusual collocation that takes place through miscollocations to other communicative dimensions the poet employs in order to intensify the significance and deepen the portrayed image and strengthen the suggestions within the limits of structural patterns: nominal, verbal, descriptive and additional structures.

The stylistic rhetorical load offers the poet open spaces that enable him to excel in poetic performance and dazzle the recipient and place him within the circle of incredulity mixed with artistic pleasure
