Abstract EN

The study aimed to identify the extent of availability of geometry standards in school curriculum from the intermediates first, second, third grades in Iraq in the light of National Council standards in the United States (NCTM, 2000).

In particular, I try to answer on the main following questions: The results of the study have shown: The percentages were among (5% -41.5% ) Where the highest percentage of the availability of geometry standards in textbooks for grades of intermediate first – third (41.5% ) standard of "analysis features of geometry shapes, development mathematical arguments about geometric relations" second, " the use of imaging, spatial rezoning, and geometric modeling to solve problems" (40.1% ).

Third, "GPS, Describing geometrical relations by applying waypoint geometrics and representations systems" the percentage reached to (13.4% ).

Finally, applying the use of remittances" (5% ).

The existence of a virtual variation in the availability of geometry standards in textbooks for grade in Iraq in light of the standard geometry issued by the US National Council of Teachers of Mathematics content (NCTM) for the year 2000 due to the variable class (the first medium, the second medium, ), where the percentages ranged from (35% -65% ) was the highest for the geometry units in the textbook Mathematics second grade average(65% ), while it was lowest in geometry units math textbook first grade average(35% ).
