The cognitive structure of the verses of the qur'anic inheritance with reference to the translation

Abstract EN

The present study is an investigation into the discoursal structure of the Quranic Verses of Inheritance from a cognitive point of view.

It attempts at finding out a structure for these Verses which are no more than three Verses in the Quran.

Also, it seeks to have them rendered into English as effectively as possible through assessing six translations produced by various translators.

It is found here that they have a three-part interactive discoursal structure consisting of fact-situation, qualification, and provisionary clause.

Moreover, the researchers have advanced a translation that is expected to reflect the source text as effectively and faithfully as possible through relying on authentic commentaries of the Glorious Quran.
