Abstract EN

This study concluded that the writer has intensified many semiotic connotations in the title of his novel as a parallel text of structural characteristics, in three stylistic levels: Semantic, Compositional and Symbolic .

At the semantic level, the researcher discussed the lexical semantics of the words of the title, in its self-frame and ideological frame, pursuant to the novel text .

At the compositional level, the analysis of the title reveals that the word"AL Quds"is the optic core around which revolves the words and elements of the title, Then the noun sentences come to lead to the meaning of firmness and stability of the indicative meaning, represented in holiness, freedom and peace .

At the symbolic level, the title content is beyond its limited text structure, directed to the "function" of interpretation,the study reveals the relation between the place " AL Quds" and the human being "Nahla"by adopting the second as a symbol for the first.

The writer left a "blank" in his title to enable the receiver to guess in accordance to his own interpretation.

The researcher selects from the substitution expected aspect a noun and a verb, where the title becomes: AL Quds"is free (similar or as) Nahla Ghusun AL Zaytoun.
