Abstract EN

The study aims to identify the demographic and spatial characteristics of the perpetrators and its causes.

Moreover, to identify the difference in the size and type of crime with different demographic and spatial characteristics of the perpetrators in Irbid Governorate.

The study followed the descriptive method using a questionnaire that was randomly applied to a sample of (268) inmate from reform and rehabilitation centers who committed their crimes in Irbid Governorate.

The study reached the most important results that Crime is concentrated in the most densely populated areas.

The existence of the psychological state correlation caused by specific circumstances on the commission of the crime.

The results also pointed out that poverty is not a major factor in the commission of crimes, but stems from other factors.

In light of the results, the study recommended a number of recommendations; the most important are Security attention to the density of the population to determine the places to be monitored crime and reserve.

Approving security instructions to provide all data and information pertaining to tenants of residential units and to provide them to security centers when renting those units.
