Abstract EN

This study aimed to reveal the role of religious programs presented at the Punitive and Correctional Institution in Sharjah in modifying the attitudes of inmates towards relations with the community.

The study problem focused on the three dimensions of the first, namely: the cognitive dimension second: the emotional dimension and finally the behavioral dimension, and the survey was used.

The social study population consisted of (54) inmates.

The results showed that inmates of different age groups, and most of them with secondary and university degrees, also showed that more than 57% returned to crime again, and drugs were the most frequent issue for inmates, and the results indicated that more than 85% of inmates joined religious programs Voluntarily and out of love for learning, and they wish to continue to join them, and the results of the study showed that religious programs actually work to modify the attitudes of inmates towards building positive relationships with their community
