It is evident that there is a problem in teaching metaphor specifically and rhetoric generally in our specialized- in Arabic language- educational institutions.
This problem results from many aspects including: the rhetoric lesson which is mainly concerned with description neglecting what students suffer from like weakness in expressions.
Rhetoric is not highly regarded as other subjects like grammar.
The applicable side of rhetoric seems totally neglected, focusing the theoretical side basically.
The research provided a lot of solutions including: the applicable side of the rhetorical subject should be highly concentrated on and metaphor should not be taught for interpretation only since this way is not beneficent and getting the studend exhausted.
