The present paper aims to shed light on literary translation as a specialized translation although this is not the view of European translation theorists like French ones and others.

the translation of various literary texts as poetry, novel and theatre...is not just finding lexical correspondence, but it is an intellectual and aesthetic re-creation of the original text.

this poses several problems for the literary translator, as it goes beyond the process of language transfer to translation beyond words and implicit meanings, given the specificities of the literary text and the nature of its writing.

a translator can be objective or subjective when translating his literary text for many reasons for each of the two situations.
