Abstract EN

In this research I addressed the book "Problem of Hadith and Its Explanation" by Ibn Furak which was not previously covered by an independent and critical academic study, and this is the problem that raised the research, and I briefly interpreted its author's thought.

Then, I showed the scientific features of his book, its sources and drawbacks, along with studying a model of it, via presentation and criticism.

The research aimed to highlight its approach to the problem, reasoning methods, and to defend the Prophet’s Sunnah, along with a detailed study of an issue from it, and I followed the critical inductive approach, so I selected from the book sufficient extracts to achieve the research goal.

Through the research, it became clear that the topic of his problem is the contradiction of Hadith with philosophy and language rules, especially in the chapter of God's Divine Attributes, and that he adopted interpretation as a tool to defend against what was often troubled by his doctrine.

He did not follow the way of the first Hadith narrators in overcoming the problem and narrating Hadiths by tracing back.

Likewise, he did not document what he conveyed from the words of the people of the language, and he did not transmit the words of Hadith Imams in criticizing what he reported of rejected Hadiths.

I recommended that the book should be edited, along with a study showing its methodology, and its faith breaches.
