Abstract EN

The current research aimed at determining the necessary teaching competencies for general education teachers of students with Arabic language learning disabilities at intermediate stage in Kuwait state, the research sample consisted of (50) of Arabic language teachers (males and females) at intermediate stage in Kuwait state.

The research used teaching competencies scale for general education teachers for teaching students with learning disabilities (prepared by the researcher).

The descriptive analytic method was used for determining the teaching competencies.

The research results indicated the following: Weakness in the cognitive and performance competencies (planning- class management- evaluation), and the technological competencies; this supported the overall average for research sample answers.

The results also indicated the availability of organizing dimension as one of the performance dimension at moderate degree, as well as there is no statistically significance differences between the answers of Arabic language teachers towards the necessary teaching competencies for teaching students with learning disabilities according to: gender, academic qualifications, years experiences, training courses.
