Abstract EN

The current research aimed to investigate EFL learners' perceptions and attitudes towards using Blackboard as an online learning tool.

Participants were 25 undergraduate female students who experienced teaching and learning through Blackboard.

The researcher prepared two instruments to collect data; the first was Blackboard perceptions and attitudes questionnaire, while the second was semi —structured interview.

Having conducted interviews, and administered the Blackboard perceptions and attitudes questionnaire, data were analyzed quantatively and qualitatively.

The findings revealed that learners had positive perceptions of Blackboard and its activities as a learning environment.

Also, learners perceived benefits of using Blackboard included increased interest and motivation to use English because of interaction with, and feedback from classmates and instructors.
